“I think the “Absolute Garbage” release is bitter sweet. I’m so exited about having new “G” material But sad because this may be the last “G” release for a long time.” – Timmy Nix 15, Louisville, Kentucky USA
“This Greatest Hits album called Absolute Garbage, seems like a good closure of everything that the band has done, their new single is catchy with very good lyrics, and the background music sound awesome!! But something is missing isn’t? what about a b-side compilation album? what about a Live Performance DVD?? the remixes and the promo videos are good, i heard it will also include some extra footage, is this going to be enough for hardcore fans??? like me?? I hated that the new video is not going to be in the US released which probably is the one that I’ll have, since i live in Mexico, i don’t understand why it wont be.” – Jose Rodriguez , 19, Monterrey NL, Mexico
“I think AG is just their obligation in front of record label. I’m not very happy with DVD ’cause I love TTITKB and RBR videos. Bonus stuff is good, but hey… it’s one time watching thing! Tell Me Where It Hurts. OK, it is a nice pop song, but I wanted something more fresh and surprising. Didn’t you? Thanks anyway. Garbage is over (five years ago), long live the Queen” – Slava, 23, Russia
“Absolute Garbage: I’m very excited to get the album when it comes out, it sounds so amazing and something that any Garbage fan would want. But however, I do have to say that there are some disappointments for me. The first one would be the fact that Subhuman, The Trick Is To Keep Breathing, Androgyny, Breaking Up The Girl, Sex Is Not The Enemy, and Run Baby Run are not included on the album. Secondly, similar to my first rant, I also don’t really like the fact that the DVD that’s being released has excluded some of the videos as well. Also the fact that Tell Me When It Hurts isn’t on the North American release.” – Jess R. 10 – North Bay, Ontario, Canada
“The CD itself doesn’t really offer much to me, aside from the one new track, Tell Me Where It Hurts. The remix cd, however, will be pretty fun, even though I already have most of them. It’ll be nice to have a lot of them all on one disc. I’m just happy the fans are finally getting a lot of what we’ve been asking for…now if only we could get that b-sides album…” – Clay, 24 – Dawsonville, GA
“I love their videos esp the Version 2.0 era – Ive been gagging for a dvd with them on for years. Im upset its not a complete collection but its certainly better than nothing at all. As for the remix cd – its ok but I expected better for fans – most of them have already been released so it feels a little wasted there. I would have much prefferred a bside collection even though they too have been released (and I own them) – cool for non fans buying the cd to hear some of their amazing bsides which I think are lost amongst everyone else.” – Marco, UK
“Well. I think it’s been quite a wait, and I will definetly be buying it. I’m so excited about the DVD, however, it’s the cd that brings me all the disappointment. First, it has only got 1 new song. Most artists (Or at least the ones I like) release more “unreleased” stuff on their Greatest Hits. Second, it really bugs me that they’re including It’s All Over But The Crying. I mean, it might sound as a good title to close the Greatest Hits, kinda like a Goodbye song, but they could’ve included something new or at least a better BLM song (Bad Boyfriend). And third, I just can’t believe they’re not including Run Baby Run and Androgyny. Also subhuman is a great miss.” – Scott, 21 – Puebla, Mexico
“Of course I’m looking forward to the release of Absolute Garbage, at last we’ll have most of the music videos with DVD quality, besides I honestly wasn’t expecting any ‘new’ material from our favorite band, whether the quality of Tell Me Where It Hurts is as good as their greatest hits or not I think it’ll always be good news to know that the boys and the redhead are still around…like a wise woman once said…’don’t count a bitch down and out until she’s well and truly dead’, Cheers!” – Leo Ramírez, Mexico City, Mexico
