Butch is nominated for a Grammy at the 54th Grammy Awards to be held on February 12, 2012. He is in the “Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical” category and up against Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth, The Smeezingtons and Ryan Tedder.

Vig co-produced 21st Century Breakdown by Green Day which won Best Rock Album in 2009 and he could once again be celebrating as the Foo Fighters have been nominated in a number of categories all related to material produced by Butch.
Wasting Light is nominated for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Rock Album’ while the single ‘Walk‘ (taken from Wasting Light) is in the ‘Best Rock Performance’, ‘Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance’ and ‘Best Rock Song’. But that’s not all when it comes to the Foos… ‘Rope‘ is in the ‘Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical’ for the Deadmau5 Mix while Back & Forth is nominated in ‘Best Long Form Music Video’.
