Butch to miss European tour

Butch Vig has been advised by doctors not to travel to Europe for the forthcoming gigs.

He will be replaced on drums by Matt Walker for the first leg of the European tour. Matt stepped in during the beautiulgarbage tour.

Statement from the band:
Due to acute sinusitis and doctor’s orders to not fly for a few weeks, Garbage’s Butch Vig regretfully will not be on the first leg of Garbage’s upcoming tour from May 24th-June 18th. Under doctor’s orders Vig will rest up and intends on returning to the group when they tour the United States this summer. “I’m super bummed I’m going to miss the first leg of the tour. I want to thank all our fans in advance for understanding. I can’t wait to reconnect with you later this year.” Matt Walker (Smashing Pumpkins, Morrissey) who has worked with Garbage in the past will be sitting in for Butch.
